In my talk, I review the use of the effective field theories in a finite volume for the analysis of lattice QCD data. In the beginning, I will sketch the derivation of the two-and three-body quantization condition. The extraction of the matrix elements of currents between multiparticle states will be also considered. The main focus of the review is however on the inclusion of the long-range forces in the quantization condition that has attracted much interest in the recent years in the context of the lattice studies of the $T_{cc}^+(3875)$ as well as the low-energy $NN$ scattering.
Akaki Rusetsky got his PhD from Tbilisi State University in 1994 and the Habilitation from the University in Bonn in 2005. He worked at the Institute of High Energy Physics of Tbilisi State University (Georgia), Joint Institute of Nuclear Research (Dubna, Russia), University of Berne (Switzerland) and the European Centre for Theoretical Nuclear Physics (Trento, Italy). Since 2003 he works at the Helmholtz Institute for Radiation and Nuclear Physics of the Bonn University (Germany). His scientific interests lie primarily in the field of hadron physics, effective field theories and lattice QCD.
