Quantum transduction refers to the quantum information transformation between microwave and optical photons, which plays an essential role in modern quantum technology, including quantum networking, distributed quantum architecture and quantum metrology. Building such a quantum transducer is a long-pursued goal in quantum information community. However, its performance is severely limited by weak mode coupling, large thermal noise, and narrow transduction bandwidth. This talk will cover a brief introduction of this field, with a focus on the recent theoretical development and possible solutions. The intense collaborations of this topic between theory investigation and experiment implementation will be elaborated.
钟长春,西安交通大学教授,主要从事量子信息、混合系统量子信息处理的理论和应用研究。2017年12月获美国普渡大学自然哲学博士学位;2018至2023年,分别在美国耶鲁大学,芝加哥大学从事博士后研究工作;2024年初加入西安交通大学,现为物理学院教授、博士生导师。迄今,已在在《Nature Physics》《Physical Review Letters》《Optica》等国内外物理学期刊发表学术论文40余篇。
