Brassinosteroid-regulated stomatal development and anthocyanin biosynthesis
Prof. Tae-Wuk Kim is currently a Professor in the Department of Life Science at Hanyang University, and concurrently serves as the Director of the Convergence Research Center for Next Generation Life Sciences (HY-IBB), Head of the Hanyang BK21-BIO4 Edu-Research Center, and Chair of the Graduate School of Life Science. He obtained his Ph.D. in Life Science from Chung-Ang University, Seoul, South Korea, in 2003. His primary research interests include: 1) Brassinosteroid-mediated physiological responses and development. 2) Signal transduction pathways of plant hormones regulating stress responses. 3) Molecular mechanisms of stomatal cell development. 4) Metabolic pathways of plant natural products and their genetic engineering. 5) Proteomic and genomic studies to identify signaling molecules regulated by endogenous and environmental signals. His research findings have been published in prestigious journals including Nature, Nature Cell Biology, Nature Plants, Molecular Cell, and The Plant Cell.
